1814, October 24, purchased one horse wagon and several horse collars from father's estate sale in Marlborough, SC

1818, Febraury 20, Wiliam Herndon having produced Power of Attorney to receive for Lucy Burton, she abeing one of the Heirs of Benjamin Herndon deceased, the sum of $285.50. On the same date the sum of $285.50 was paid to William Herndon for Frances Herndon, also a daughter of Benjamin Herndon, Deceased, Malborough, SC Bk A-2, p 316

It was prbably this Wiliam Herndon who on July 2, 1825 purchased from William James, both of Humphery Co, TN, 50 acres situated on Rushings Creek. This land was part of a grant james had received of 260 acres, $250, Humphrey Co, TN Deed Bk D, p 20. This note from Dudley
