1880 Census HIll County, Texas, 307 ED 72, listed a WIlliam Preston RIggins. Elva Yokley believes that he went to Texas where his brother WIlliam W RIggins lived. While there he believes a child named Elva was born, died and is buried there. After that, they moved back to Alabama and PReston died about 1882. Elva said, "It was always stated that her grandfather WIlliam PReston RIggins was buried in Jackson County, Alabama and his grave was beside a pine tree. No one ever mentioned or told exactly what cemetery. She does not think the grave has a tombstone."
