Killed himself in a field behind the Daisy Depot with a .22 cal gun after allegedly shooting his son Pete's coach who was eating breakfast with his separated wife in her house. See front page article in Chattanooga Daily Times.

He was a painter in Chattanooga and lived at 928 Beason Dr. He had just separated from his wife 8 weeks prior. The victim/schoolteacher, Marion Perkins, had been boarding with Mrs. Potter for a month.
