Unmarried when moved to Kentucky with Benjamin Sublett (father) around 1805.
William Sublett was Mary Scott's second cousin.
From Icle Smith: In 1854 she divided her slaves among her children. The Family Record of Celia Ann Johnson, her daughter, gives this line, "Mary Scott Sublett departed this life, April 8th, 1862"
From Icle Smith: Just a few miles from the old home of William and Mary Scott, in the Long Hollow Community, Benjamin Sublett, a son of Charles Jordan Sublett, there a nephew of Mary Scott, settled. The exact date of the purchase can not be determined on account of the burning of the Courthouse of Jackson Co, which was located at Belfont a few miles to the north and east of the present location, Scottsboro, Alabama. This burning was done by a group of US Soldiers during the War between the States. In this fire practically all of the records of deeds, marriages, settlement of estates were destroyed. Therefore part of the record just has to be pieced together.
